Flame Rod
Flame Rod is an instrument that are used for flame
detection. Flame rod mostly used on Pilots. Flame rod are specific for Gas
flames. Oil Flames are not Suitable for Flame Rod. Flame rod
have quick response to flame failure.
Working Principle
The Working Principle of Flame Rod is Ionization current flame detection.
Its ability of flame to conduct
current when potential applied across it. When there is no Flame, the resistance between
electrode is maximum. But the presence of flame resistance decrease and the
flow of current increase through the flame rod and it indicate the presence of
Flame.
